The Challenge

A multi-vendor marketplace is not a larger online store. Each order can cross seller boundaries, while catalogue ownership, commissions, fulfilment, returns and payouts must remain understandable to buyers, vendors and administrators.

Parwaz Mart needed customer shopping and vendor self-service to coexist without exposing marketplace complexity at checkout. The operating model also had to support local payment preferences and delivery workflows used across Pakistan.

What made the problem difficult

The work combined customer-facing experience with operational rules behind the scenes. The product therefore had to be designed as a system of roles, states and owned data—not only as a collection of pages.

Our Solution

DevKeyTech separated the product into customer, vendor and platform-admin workflows. Vendors receive storefront and catalogue controls; buyers see unified discovery and checkout; the marketplace layer handles seller attribution, order routing and commission records.

Category navigation, cross-vendor search, payment choices and delivery states were designed as shared platform capabilities instead of being rebuilt inside each seller storefront.

Delivered capabilities

  • Vendor onboarding and storefronts
  • Multi-category catalogue and search
  • Multi-vendor order routing
  • Commission and payout records
  • Local payment and delivery workflows

The implementation used staged delivery so core workflows could be reviewed before secondary features increased the surface area.

Results & Impact

The confirmed result is a delivered product experience covering the capabilities above. Commercial performance, conversion, time saved and user-adoption figures are not published here because a verified analytics export and approved client interview are still pending.

Measured outcomes: TBD. These fields should be updated only when production data and the client’s approval are available.

Engineering lesson

The marketplace engine should be designed before the storefront polish. Clear ownership of products, order lines, fulfilment and money prevents expensive reconciliation work later.
