Telemedicine AppDevelopment

A teleconsultation app with reliable video, a clean prescription flow and records that stay private to the patient and the doctor.

Telemedicine App Development: what the work involves

A video call is the easy part of telemedicine. The hard parts are a consultation that survives a weak connection, a prescription the patient can show a pharmacist, and the discipline of keeping medical conversations private. Families in smaller cities want a specialist without a six-hour journey, and doctors want to treat them without managing four separate apps.

We build a consultation flow from booking to follow-up. The patient pays, joins a video room at the scheduled time, and the call adapts its quality to the connection, falling back to audio when it must. The doctor writes notes and a prescription from a template, and both appear in the patient's record. Chat covers follow-up questions, and an admin side handles doctor onboarding and payouts.

What we build

Core features

01

Video and audio consultation

Adaptive calls drop video quality, then fall back to voice, rather than failing outright on a slow Pakistani mobile connection.

02

Scheduling and waiting room

Patients book a time, enter a virtual waiting room and are admitted when the doctor is ready, with a late notice if the doctor is delayed.

03

E-prescription

Doctors create a prescription from a drug list and templates, which the patient can download or share with a pharmacy.

04

Secure chat and files

Patients send reports and photos before and after the call, and conversations are kept within the consultation record.

05

Payment and doctor payouts

Fees are collected up front, refunded under defined rules and settled to doctors on a schedule with a visible statement.

06

Follow-up reminders

Doctors schedule a follow-up and the app reminds the patient to book it or to take a test.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Clinical safety and scope

Not every condition suits a remote visit. We add triage questions, an emergency disclaimer and a path to escalate to an in-person visit, while clinical responsibility stays with your doctors.

Call reliability and recording

Video relies on a real-time provider and a fallback. If consultations are recorded, patients must consent and storage must be locked down, so we decide recording policy with you first.

Licensing and prescriptions

Rules on remote prescribing and doctor registration vary by place. We build the verification workflow, and you confirm the regulatory position with an adviser.

Telemedicine App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

What video technology do you use?

Usually a managed real-time service such as Agora or a WebRTC stack, chosen by reliability in your target regions and the volume of calls you expect. We test it on real mobile networks before launch.

Can doctors write prescriptions in the app?

Yes. Doctors build a prescription from a medicine list and templates, and it is saved to the patient's record with the doctor's details. Whether it is legally accepted by pharmacies depends on local rules.

How is patient data protected?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-restricted and logged, and consultation media are not kept longer than needed. We also minimise what is stored on the phone itself.

Can we work with doctors across countries?

Yes technically, including time-zone handling and currency. Legal permission to treat patients across borders is separate, so you should seek regulatory advice for each country you serve.
