Donation PlatformDevelopment

Fundraising is a trust transaction. Make giving effortless, show where the money goes and give donors a record they can rely on.

Donation Platform Development: what the work involves

Charities in Pakistan raise much of their money through bank transfers, cash collection and messaging apps, which makes it hard to thank donors, report to funders or run a recurring campaign. A dedicated donation platform changes that by treating each gift as a record: who gave, how much, to which fund, through which channel and whether a receipt was sent. For donors, it offers a quick, secure way to give on a phone, including from abroad, and for the organisation it produces numbers it can stand behind.

We build campaign pages with a goal, progress and updates, and a giving flow that supports one-off and monthly donations. Funds can be separated into categories such as zakat, sadaqah and general, with the rules for each respected in reporting. Donors get automatic receipts and a history page. Admin screens reconcile gateway payments with bank deposits, flag failed recurring gifts and export donor lists. Pages remain light and fast, because most donors arrive from a link shared on a phone.

What we build

Core features

01

Campaign pages with progress

Each appeal has a story, goal, live progress and updates, shareable as a single link that works well on messaging apps.

02

One-off and recurring gifts

Donors choose a single amount or a monthly pledge, with a simple way to change or stop the schedule themselves.

03

Fund categories

Zakat, sadaqah, general and restricted project funds are tracked separately so each rupee follows the rules of its category.

04

Receipts and donor history

Every gift triggers an emailed receipt, and donors can view or download their giving history for their own records.

05

Reconciliation and reporting

Gateway payments, bank transfers and cash entries appear in one ledger with export for auditors and funders.

06

Donor communication

Thank-you messages and impact updates can be sent by email or WhatsApp to the people who gave to a particular campaign.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Payment security and fraud

Fundraising pages attract card testing and fake campaigns. Hosted payment fields, rate limits, and verification of who can publish a campaign protect donors and your gateway account.

Religious fund handling

Zakat funds carry rules on eligible recipients and timing. We provide separation and reporting, but your scholars or advisers must define and supervise the policy.

Donor data privacy

Giving history is personal. Keep donor lists restricted, honour unsubscribe requests and avoid publishing names or amounts without explicit permission.

Donation Platform Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can donors give monthly?

Yes, by card where the gateway supports recurring billing. Wallet and bank donors receive a monthly reminder with a one-tap link, since recurring debits are not available on every local method.

Does it separate zakat from other donations?

Yes. Each gift is assigned to a fund when it is made, and reports total each fund separately. The rules about spending zakat remain the organisation's responsibility.

Can overseas donors give?

Yes. International card payments are supported through a suitable gateway, and receipts can carry the details a donor needs for their own country's tax purposes, subject to your registration.

How do we track cash and bank gifts alongside online ones?

Admins record offline gifts with donor, fund and reference, and they appear in the same ledger as online payments, so reports reflect all income in one place.
