Laboratory Management SoftwareDevelopment
Track every sample from collection counter to signed report, with results validated against reference ranges and delivered to patients and doctors.
Laboratory Management Software Development: what the work involves
A diagnostic lab sells trust: a patient must get the right result, for the right sample, on time. In a paper-driven lab, sample labels are handwritten, results are typed into a word processor per report, and a mix-up between two patients with similar names is a real danger. Turnaround time and referral commissions also slip out of view, because nobody can see which tests are pending or who sent what.
We build laboratory systems around the order, the sample and the result. Registration creates an order with tests from your catalogue; barcode labels identify each sample; technicians enter or receive results with units and reference ranges by age and sex; a pathologist verifies before release. Reports are generated with your branding and can be delivered by portal or WhatsApp link. Analyser interfaces, collection centre branches and referral accounting are handled in the same database.
Core features
Test and panel catalogue
Tests, profiles, sample types, units, turnaround times and reference ranges by age and sex, maintained centrally.
Registration and sample labels
Orders at the counter produce barcode labels for each tube, so samples are identified by scan instead of handwriting.
Result entry and analyser import
Technicians type results or import them from analysers, with out-of-range flags and delta checks against the patient's previous values.
Verification and release
A pathologist or senior technologist reviews and signs, and only verified results can be printed or sent to the patient.
Reports and delivery
Branded PDF reports with graphs and comments, available at the counter, by login portal or through a secure link.
Referrals and collection centres
Track which doctor or collection point sent each order, compute referral shares by rule, and reconcile branch collections.
What we get right before launch
Sample identification
Patient mix-ups are the gravest lab risk. Barcode scanning at each hand-off, label printing at the point of collection, and refusing unlabelled samples are built into the workflow.
Analyser compatibility
Each analyser speaks its own protocol, and some only export files. We list your instruments and confirm the interface route for each one before promising automatic import.
Result amendment control
A released report that changes needs a trace. Amendments create a new version, mark the old one superseded, and notify the doctor, and the audit log keeps who changed what.

Common questions, answered
Can it connect to our lab analysers?
In many cases. Analysers commonly output results through serial, network or file exports, and we write an interface per model. We need the exact instrument names and their interface documentation to confirm feasibility before we commit.
Can patients receive reports online?
Yes. Verified reports can be accessed through a patient login or a secure link sent by SMS or WhatsApp. Access can require a PIN printed on the receipt, so reports are not open to anyone who guesses a link.
Does it handle collection centres and home sampling?
Yes. Orders can be created at any collection point or by a phlebotomist on a phone, samples are tracked in transit to the main lab, and each centre has its own cash summary and users.
How are referral commissions calculated?
You define shares by doctor, test category or slab, and the system accrues them as orders are paid. Statements per referrer are generated for review before payout, so disputes are settled from recorded data.
