Manufacturing ERPDevelopment

Connect raw material purchasing, bills of materials, production orders, finished goods and costing so you know what each batch really costs.

Manufacturing ERP Development: what the work involves

A factory loses money in the gap between what a product should cost and what it actually costs. Material is issued without being recorded, scrap goes unmeasured, a rework loop quietly doubles labour, and the selling price was set on an old estimate. Owners often see only the final sales figure and a bank balance. Without costing by batch, they cannot tell which products carry the business and which only keep the machines busy.

We build manufacturing ERP around the bill of materials and the production order. A BOM lists components with quantities and allowed wastage; a production order issues material from store, records output, scrap and by-products, and absorbs labour and overhead; finished goods enter stock at their computed cost. Purchasing, sales and accounts share the same database, so a customer order can trigger a material requirement check, and dispatch updates stock and invoices without re-entry.

What we build

Core features

01

Bills of materials and routings

Multi-level BOMs with quantities, wastage allowances, alternates and process steps, versioned when recipes change.

02

Production orders

Issue material, record output, scrap and by-products per batch, and close the order with variance against standard.

03

Raw material and finished goods stock

Separate stores for raw, work-in-progress and finished goods, with batch or lot tracking where traceability matters.

04

Costing and variances

Material, labour and overhead absorbed per batch, with standard versus actual cost reported by product.

05

Material requirement check

Sales orders and production plans are exploded through the BOM to show shortages and suggest purchase quantities.

06

Sales, dispatch and accounts link

Delivery and invoicing draw from finished goods stock, and cost of goods sold posts to the ledger from the production cost.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

BOM accuracy is the foundation

A wrong recipe produces wrong costs and wrong shortages. We build BOMs with your production staff, test them against a few real batches, and fix gaps before costing is relied upon.

Shop-floor data capture

If operators must type at a distant office PC, records arrive late. We place simple terminals or tablets at the store and line, and use barcodes to cut typing.

Phased rollout

Switching purchasing, stores, production and accounts at once overwhelms a factory. We usually start with stores and BOMs, add production orders next, and bring costing in once quantities are reliable.

Manufacturing ERP Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can it work for our particular type of manufacturing?

Discrete assembly, batch and process manufacturing differ in how BOMs and yields work. We study your process on the floor first and model recipes, co-products and losses the way your plant operates, instead of adapting your plant to a template.

How does it calculate product cost?

Material consumed, labour and overhead absorbed are summed per production order and divided by good output. You choose standard or actual costing and the overhead allocation basis, which we agree with your accountant.

Can we track batches for traceability?

Yes. Raw material lots can be linked to production batches and finished-goods lots, so if a quality issue is found you can trace which customers received the affected output and which supplier lot is involved.

Do we need to replace all our systems at once?

No. A phased approach is safer. We commonly begin with stores and BOMs, bring in production orders next, and connect accounts last, so the factory keeps running while each area becomes dependable.
