Tax Compliance SoftwareDevelopment

Tax records, deadlines and invoice data organised so filing season is a review, not a scramble through folders and spreadsheets.

Tax Compliance Software Development: what the work involves

Tax compliance for a growing business is mostly record keeping: invoices with correct tax treatment, withholding deducted and deposited, returns due on fixed dates, and notices that need a reply. When this is scattered across accountants, email and desk drawers, deadlines are missed, supporting papers cannot be found during an inquiry, and the owner learns about a liability only when a notice arrives.

DevKey builds tax compliance software around the data that returns are prepared from. Sales and purchase invoices carry tax details, withholding certificates are tracked against vendors, and a calendar assigns each filing to a person with reminders. Where your invoicing must be reported to the tax authority, we integrate through the interfaces it provides, and keep a ledger of what was submitted and acknowledged.

What we build

Core features

01

Tax-aware invoicing records

Invoices store tax category, rate and buyer details so output and input tax summaries come straight from transactions.

02

Withholding tracking

Deductions from supplier and employee payments are logged by section and period, with deposit status and certificate copies attached.

03

Filing calendar and reminders

Recurring returns and payments are assigned to owners with due dates, and overdue items rise to a manager's list.

04

Authority invoice submission

Invoices can be sent to the tax authority's system through its interface, with the acknowledgement or error stored beside each one.

05

Notice and document vault

Notices, replies, returns and challans sit in a searchable archive linked to the period and the tax type they concern.

06

Reconciliation reports

Compare ledger totals with filed figures and with data held by the authority, and list differences needing explanation.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Rules change

Rates, thresholds and forms are revised often. We keep tax rules in configuration rather than code, and your accountant remains responsible for confirming the treatment applied.

Integration availability

Connections to authority systems depend on the credentials, integration access and technical specification that the authority issues. We confirm access before scoping that part of the work.

Who can alter filed data

After a return is filed, changes must be controlled. We lock closed periods, require a reason and approver for corrections, and retain the original values.

Tax Compliance Software Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can it connect to the tax authority's invoicing system?

Where the authority provides an integration interface and you hold the required credentials, yes. We build the submission and store each response. Availability and rules are set by the authority, so we confirm them early.

Does this replace our accountant?

No. The software organises data and deadlines so your accountant works faster and with fewer gaps. Judgements about treatment, filing positions and responses to notices remain with qualified professionals.

Can a consultancy use it for several clients?

Yes. Each client company is kept separate with its own records and calendar, while the firm sees a combined list of deadlines and statuses, and staff access can be limited per client.

How are documents kept safe?

Files are stored in access-controlled storage, downloads and views are logged, and the data is backed up on a schedule. You also decide how long documents are retained and who may delete them.
