Product Photography forE-commerce
Give every product page and ad the pictures that answer a shopper's doubts, from white-background catalog shots to lifestyle scenes that show scale and use.
Product Photography for E-commerce: what the work involves
Online shoppers cannot touch what they are buying, so the photograph does the job of a shop assistant. Weak lighting, inconsistent backgrounds and a single angle make products look cheaper than they are and push buyers toward a rival with clearer images. The growth problem sits in conversion and returns: unclear pictures lose sales on the product page and cause disappointment when the parcel arrives.
DevKey plans photography around where each image will be used. Catalog shots follow marketplace rules for white backgrounds and consistent framing, lifestyle scenes show the product in context, and detail close-ups cover texture, stitching or ports. Every set is cropped for the product page, the Meta catalog, Daraz or Amazon listings and story placements, and named and organised so your team can upload without hunting for files.
Core features
Catalog shot standard
Consistent angles, spacing and background for every product so your store looks like one coherent brand and meets marketplace image rules.
Lifestyle and in-use scenes
Styled setups and model shots that show size, fit and purpose, helping shoppers imagine the item in their own life.
Detail and texture close-ups
Macro images of fabric, stitching, finish or ports that reduce pre-purchase questions and returns.
Retouching and colour accuracy
Cleanup of dust and shadows with colour matched to the real item, since colour mismatch is a leading return reason.
Multi-placement cropping
Each hero image exported for product pages, catalog feeds, ad squares, stories and marketplace thumbnails.
Organised delivery
Files named by SKU and angle, with a spreadsheet mapping images to products so uploads and feed updates are quick.
What we get right before launch
Marketplace image rules
Daraz, Amazon and Google Shopping each reject images with promotional text, watermarks or non-compliant backgrounds. We shoot a compliant version and a separate marketing version.
Honest representation
Overstyled or heavily edited images raise returns and can breach consumer law in Australia and the US if they mislead about the product. We keep editing faithful.
Shoot volume and sample handling
Large catalogs need batching, packaging and return logistics for samples. We plan the workflow around your stock movement, not just the camera days.

Common questions, answered
Can you shoot at our warehouse or office?
Yes. We can bring lighting and backdrops to your premises for bulk catalog work, or use a studio when products need more controlled setups. We choose based on item size, volume and how easy it is to move stock.
Do you provide models?
We can arrange models, hands-only shots or mannequins depending on the product. Model usage rights are agreed in writing so images can be used on your store and in ads without later disputes.
Will images work on Daraz and Meta both?
Yes. We shoot clean, compliant base images and then create marketing variants separately, so you are never forced to choose between marketplace approval and an appealing ad.
Can you do product video as well?
Short product clips such as rotations, unboxings and use demonstrations can be shot alongside stills, which saves setup time and gives you assets for reels, product pages and ad tests.
