E-commerce AppDevelopment

A shopping app that keeps your catalogue, stock and orders in step with your website, and makes reordering a two-tap habit for repeat buyers.

E-commerce App Development: what the work involves

Most Pakistani online stores still win their first order on the web and then lose the second one, because the customer has to find the site again, log in again and re-type an address. A branded shopping app fixes exactly that gap: the icon sits on the home screen, the cart survives a dropped connection, and a back-in-stock alert can bring a buyer back the same evening.

We build the app as a thin, fast client over the same commerce backend your site already uses, so products, variants, stock levels and promotions are edited once. The app talks to a Node.js API, stores sessions securely on the device, and ships through TestFlight and Play internal testing before any public release. Where you have no backend yet, we build one on PostgreSQL with an admin panel your team can run without us.

What we build

Core features

01

Catalogue with variants

Sizes, colours and bundles load from your product feed with cached images, so browsing stays smooth on a mid-range handset and a shaky mobile connection.

02

Resilient cart and checkout

The basket is saved to the account and the device, and checkout resumes after an interrupted payment instead of silently losing the order.

03

Mixed payment methods

Cash on delivery with phone confirmation, local wallets such as JazzCash and Easypaisa, and Stripe for card buyers abroad, selected by delivery country.

04

Wishlist and restock alerts

Saved items trigger a notification when stock returns or a price drops, giving a reason to open the app that is tied to buyer intent.

05

Order tracking timeline

Customers watch an order move from confirmed to packed to dispatched, with courier tracking links and a one-tap return request.

06

Search that forgives typos

Instant search with suggestions, filters and Urdu or Roman Urdu spellings, so a shopper typing a brand name loosely still finds the product.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

COD fraud and fake orders

Cash on delivery invites prank orders. We add phone verification, address validation and a risk flag on repeat refusals before dispatch is triggered.

Store review of payments

Apple and Google both police how you sell digital versus physical goods. Physical products may use external payment, but mixing in digital items changes the rules, so we map this before building.

Catalogue size on weak devices

Large image-heavy catalogues stutter on low-memory Android phones. We paginate, resize images at the CDN and profile on a genuinely cheap device before launch.

E-commerce App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can the app share products with my existing Shopify or WooCommerce store?

Yes. We read products, stock and orders through the store's API and write orders back, so you do not maintain two catalogues. The scope depends on how customised your current store is, and we confirm it during discovery.

Do I need both an iOS and an Android version?

Pakistan skews heavily Android, while Australian and US buyers lean more towards iPhone. A single Flutter or React Native codebase covers both, so you can launch together without paying for two separate builds.

How are push notifications handled so they do not annoy customers?

We ask permission after a useful moment rather than on first launch, segment messages by behaviour, and cap frequency. Order updates are sent always; promotions are opt-in and easy to switch off inside the app.

What drives the cost of an e-commerce app?

Mainly the number of payment methods, how much custom backend or admin work you need, integrations with couriers or ERP, and whether design is bespoke. We quote after a short scoping call.
