POS AppDevelopment

A point-of-sale app that bills at a tablet or phone, keeps selling when the internet drops and shows the owner the day's numbers.

POS App Development: what the work involves

Small shops, cafes and pharmacies pay a lot for hardware tills that nobody can change, or they bill by hand and discover at month-end that stock and cash do not match. Power cuts and unstable internet make cloud-only systems risky, because a counter that stops while customers queue loses sales and goodwill.

We build the POS as an offline-first app on a tablet or phone. Products load from a local database, a sale is saved instantly with its receipt, and a background sync sends it to the server whenever connectivity allows. The owner sees sales, stock and cash by shift from anywhere. Printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers connect over Bluetooth or USB, and tax lines are configured to your business.

What we build

Core features

01

Offline-first billing

Sales are recorded on the device and synced later, so power or internet failure never stops the counter.

02

Barcode scanning and quick search

The camera or a Bluetooth scanner reads barcodes, and a fast search handles loose items and weighted goods.

03

Receipts and printers

Thermal receipts over Bluetooth or USB, plus digital receipts by WhatsApp or SMS for customers who prefer them.

04

Discounts, returns and split payment

Item and bill discounts, refunds with reasons and payment split between cash, card and wallet.

05

Shift and cash reconciliation

Cashiers open and close shifts, and the expected cash balance is compared with the counted amount.

06

Owner dashboard

Daily and hourly sales, best sellers, cashier performance and low-stock warnings, available on the owner's phone.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Sync conflicts

Two tills may sell the last item while offline. We define clear rules, including negative-stock warnings and reconciliation reports, rather than pretending sync conflicts will never happen.

Hardware compatibility

Printers and scanners vary, and Android Bluetooth behaves differently across brands. We agree a tested hardware list with you and avoid promising universal support.

Tax and invoicing rules

Sales tax and the FBR's retailer integration rules can apply to certain businesses. We configure the invoice format and integration where required, and your accountant confirms obligations.

POS App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Will it work during load-shedding or without internet?

Yes. The app keeps the product list and records sales on the device, then uploads them once the connection returns. Reports update after sync, and the tablet's own battery keeps the counter running.

What hardware do I need?

An Android tablet or phone, plus an optional Bluetooth thermal printer, barcode scanner and cash drawer. Many shops start with only a phone and add peripherals later.

Can it handle several branches?

Yes. Each branch has its own stock and staff, and owners see consolidated or per-branch reports. Stock transfers between branches are recorded as movements rather than edited numbers.

Can it connect to my online store?

Yes, through an API or integration with your e-commerce platform, so in-store and online sales draw from the same stock figures and avoid selling an item twice.
