Shopify SEOServices

Shopify gives you a solid base, but themes, apps and default URL patterns create their own problems. We tune the store at theme level.

Shopify SEO Services: what the work involves

Shopify handles many basics automatically, which can lull merchants into thinking nothing needs doing. In practice the platform produces duplicate product paths under collections, fixed URL prefixes you cannot remove, thin tag pages and heavy apps that slow every template. Store owners then wonder why collections stall while competitors with similar catalogues appear above them.

We audit the live store and the theme code together. Within Liquid we correct canonical logic, heading structure, pagination links and schema output, remove app scripts that no longer earn their weight, and restructure collections and navigation. For content, we shape collection copy, buying guides and product titles around real queries. Every change is logged in a theme branch so you can review it before publishing.

What we build

Core features

01

Theme-level technical fixes

We edit Liquid templates for canonical tags, heading order, noindex rules on utility pages and clean pagination.

02

Collection page optimisation

Collection titles, introductory copy and sub-collection links built around how people actually search for the category.

03

Product schema review

Theme and app generated JSON-LD is audited so only one accurate Product block remains, with price, availability and reviews matching the page.

04

App and script audit

We measure the cost of each app on load speed and recommend removals or lighter alternatives.

05

Redirects and URL hygiene

Retired products and renamed collections are redirected to the closest live page using Shopify's redirect tooling.

06

Blog and guide planning

Buying guides and comparison articles linked into the collections that convert, so content supports revenue.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Fixed URL structures

Shopify forces paths such as products, collections and pages. We work around them with canonical tags and sensible internal linking rather than fighting the platform.

App-injected markup conflicts

Review and SEO apps often add their own schema or meta tags on top of the theme's. Duplicated or contradictory output can confuse validation, so we consolidate it.

Duplicate product paths

Products can load under collection-based URLs as well as the main one. Correct canonical handling matters, and we verify it on live pages rather than assuming the theme does it.

Shopify SEO Services FAQ

Common questions, answered

Is Shopify good for SEO?

It is a capable platform with sensible defaults, but limits such as fixed URL patterns and app-driven bloat need management. A well configured Shopify store can compete well, though results depend on content, links and competition.

Do I need a Shopify SEO app?

Often not. Many apps add scripts and duplicate markup. Titles, descriptions, redirects and sitemaps are available natively, and we prefer fixing the theme over layering another plugin onto it.

Will you edit our theme code?

Yes, in a duplicate theme or development branch so nothing goes live untested. You review the changes, and we publish when you approve, with a record of every file touched.

Can you help us migrate to Shopify without losing rankings?

We map every old URL to its new equivalent, preserve titles and content where sensible, and monitor Search Console after launch. Some temporary fluctuation is normal, but careful redirects reduce the risk considerably.
