Wholesale Ordering PortalDevelopment

A portal where your retailers place their own orders against their own rates and credit limits, so your salesmen stop taking orders over the phone at night.

Wholesale Ordering Portal Development: what the work involves

Wholesale in Pakistan still runs on relationships, notebooks and WhatsApp voice notes. A shopkeeper tells the salesman what he needs, the salesman writes it down, and someone in the office re-types it into the billing system the next morning. Errors creep in, the customer cannot see what is in stock, and nobody can tell at a glance whether a retailer has already exceeded the credit you are willing to extend.

We build the portal around the account, not the product page. Each retailer signs in to see their own price tier, their outstanding balance and a catalogue sorted by what they buy most often. Orders respect minimum quantities and pack sizes, check credit before submission and flow straight into your billing or dispatch queue. Your field salesmen get the same screens on a phone, so they can book an order on behalf of a customer in the shop.

What we build

Core features

01

Tiered and customer-specific pricing

Prices follow the retailer's category or a negotiated list, and promotions can target a tier, a region or a brand.

02

Credit limit and balance checks

The portal shows outstanding dues and warns or blocks an order that would push a customer past the limit you set.

03

Pack-size and carton rules

Items sell in cartons, dozens or boxes with minimum quantities, so every order lines up with how you actually pick and load.

04

One-tap reorder

Retailers rebuild their usual stock order from history, which is the single feature that moves most wholesale volume online.

05

Salesman order booking

Field staff place orders for a retailer from their phone, even with weak signal, and the order syncs when the connection returns.

06

Order status and dispatch view

Customers see which orders are confirmed, packed or out for delivery, and your office sees a pick list grouped by route.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Adoption among retailers

Many shopkeepers are comfortable with WhatsApp but not web forms. We design for a small phone screen, Urdu labels where useful and a salesman-assisted fallback.

Credit and ledger accuracy

The portal is only trusted if balances match your books. We agree a sync method with your accounting system and decide what happens when it lags.

Stock honesty

Showing stock you cannot deliver damages trust. We help you decide between exact quantities, in-stock flags or allowing back-orders for each category.

Wholesale Ordering Portal Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can retailers pay online through the portal?

They can, but most wholesale payment stays as cash, cheque or bank transfer against invoices. We usually record payments against the ledger first and add JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank links later if collection speed becomes a priority.

Does it work if a salesman has poor signal?

Yes. The salesman view can queue orders offline and send them when connectivity returns. Conflicts such as a price change in the meantime are flagged for your office to confirm before dispatch.

Can we keep our current billing software?

Generally yes. The portal captures orders and can export or push them into your billing system through a file or API. Which direction suits you depends on what your existing software supports.

How do we onboard existing customers?

We import your customer list with their tiers and limits, then invite retailers in batches, starting with your most active accounts. Salesmen walk each customer through the first order in person.
