Petrol Pump Management SoftwareDevelopment

Nozzle readings, tank dips, credit accounts and shift cash reconciled each day, so a fuel station always knows where its litres and rupees went.

Petrol Pump Management Software Development: what the work involves

A fuel station sells a liquid that evaporates, leaks and is measured in several places, and the margin per litre is thin. Reconciling nozzle meters, tank dips, deliveries and cash by hand at the end of a shift is slow, and small gaps become arguments between attendants and owners. Credit accounts for transporters and companies add another ledger that grows unnoticed until a customer stops paying.

DevKey builds petrol pump software around the shift. Attendants enter opening and closing meter readings per nozzle, the system computes expected sales, compares it with cash and card collected, and flags the variance. Tanker deliveries update tank stock, dip readings reveal loss, and credit customers receive statements. Owners get a daily summary across every pump they run without driving there.

What we build

Core features

01

Nozzle and shift readings

Opening and closing meter readings per nozzle give expected litres sold for each attendant and shift, ready to compare with money collected.

02

Tank stock and dip reconciliation

Book stock follows deliveries and sales, and a physical dip reading shows any difference per tank so shrinkage is noticed early.

03

Fuel receipts from tanker deliveries

Record each supply with quantity, supplier invoice and rate, then see purchase cost against sales to track margin.

04

Credit customer ledgers

Fleet and company accounts with credit limits, vehicle-wise slips, periodic statements and payment follow-up.

05

Price change handling

When fuel rates change, the new rate applies from a set time, and stock value is adjusted so reports stay correct across the change.

06

Daily owner summary

Litres sold by product, cash banked, credit given and variances arrive as one report for each station.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Dispenser integration

Some dispensers can report volumes electronically, many cannot. We confirm what your hardware supports and otherwise build fast manual meter entry that is still checked against cash.

Attendant accountability

Variance reporting only helps if it is attributed. We tie each shift and nozzle to a named user and keep an audit trail of corrections.

Regulatory price notifications

Pump rates are set externally and change often. We make rate updates a controlled, logged action, rather than something an attendant can edit at the counter.

Petrol Pump Management Software Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Do we need special hardware?

Not to start. Manual nozzle readings and dip entries work on any computer or tablet. If your dispensers or tank gauges expose a data connection, we can discuss reading from them once we know the models.

Can it keep working if the internet goes down?

A station-side desktop build can store sales and readings in a local database and sync to the cloud when the connection returns, so a shift is never interrupted by a network outage.

How does it handle credit customers?

Each account has a limit, vehicles and a slip trail. Statements are generated on your cycle, payments are matched against open slips, and the pump can be blocked from issuing fuel once a limit is crossed.

Can owners see all stations together?

Yes. Every station records its own shifts and stock, and an owner dashboard consolidates litres, margins and cash positions, with drill-down to a single station, nozzle or shift when something looks off.
