Hajj and Umrah Travel AppDevelopment

A pilgrim companion app that keeps groups together, answers logistics questions in Urdu and works when roaming data is poor.

Hajj and Umrah Travel App Development: what the work involves

Hajj and Umrah operators carry heavy responsibility for people who are often elderly, unfamiliar with smartphones and travelling in vast crowds. Coordinators field the same questions all day, such as which bus, which hotel gate and what time the group gathers, and a pilgrim who drifts from the group can be hard to find.

We build the app for the operator and the pilgrim together. Operators register groups, assign hotels, flights and group leaders, and track visa and ticket status per person. Pilgrims get a large-type interface in Urdu, daily schedules, a one-tap contact for their leader and offline reading of duas and rituals. A group-location feature, enabled only with consent, shows leaders where their members are.

What we build

Core features

01

Group and package management

Operators build groups with flight, hotel and transport details, and each pilgrim sees only their own itinerary.

02

Visa and document status

A per-pilgrim checklist tracks passport submission, visa issuance and ticket delivery, with pending items flagged to staff.

03

Consent-based group locator

Pilgrims who opt in share location with their leader so a lost member can be found; sharing can be switched off at any time.

04

Urdu-first, large-text interface

Right-to-left layout, big buttons and voice-friendly labels serve pilgrims who rarely use apps.

05

Offline duas and rituals guide

Step-by-step guidance and supplications are stored on the device so they open without data in crowded areas.

06

Schedule and announcement feed

Departure times, bus numbers and hotel gates are pushed as short, clear messages, with an SMS fallback for those without data.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Location sharing sensitivity

Tracking people in a religious setting needs explicit, revocable consent and a clear explanation. It must be opt-in and visible, which is also what the app stores require.

Congested networks

Mobile networks saturate near the Haram and at Mina. We keep payloads small, queue messages and design every critical screen to work from cached data.

Religious content accuracy

Duas and ritual instructions must be reviewed by a qualified scholar chosen by you before release. We implement and display content; we do not author religious rulings.

Hajj and Umrah Travel App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can the app show where group members are?

Yes, but only for pilgrims who agree to share, and only to their group leader. The feature is switchable at any time, and we recommend explaining it at registration so nobody is surprised.

Does it work in Urdu and Arabic?

Yes. Interface text can be Urdu or English with right-to-left support, and Arabic text for duas is shown with proper fonts and spacing. Translations are reviewed with your own staff before launch.

What about pilgrims who do not have smartphones?

Operators can add them to groups and send schedule updates by SMS, so the whole group is covered. The app helps most when at least group leaders and younger relatives carry phones.

Do you handle payments for packages?

Operators can record instalments and issue receipts in the app, linked to bank or wallet payments. Online card payments are possible through a provider you are approved with, subject to your licensing.
