Mobile App Development

Travel AppDevelopment

A travel app that packages tours, keeps the itinerary available without signal, and answers questions mid-trip without a phone call.

Travel App Development: what the work involves

Tour operators sell experiences across scattered tools: package details on Facebook, bookings on WhatsApp, payments by bank transfer and itineraries in PDF files that travellers cannot find once they reach the mountains. When plans change on the road, everyone is told by separate messages and someone always misses it.

We build a traveller app around the trip timeline. Packages are listed with dates and seats, a booking reserves a place and collects instalments, and once confirmed the itinerary becomes a living schedule with hotel, transport and guide details. Maps and key documents download for offline use, and the operator console lets coordinators push a change to every traveller on that departure with one notice.

What we build

Core features

01

Package catalogue with seats

Each departure shows dates, inclusions and remaining seats, so travellers know what they are buying and sales staff stop overselling.

02

Instalment payments

Travellers reserve with a part payment and settle the balance on a schedule, with reminders before each due date.

03

Offline itinerary and maps

Day-by-day plans, hotel addresses and map tiles download to the phone, so the app works where coverage ends.

04

Departure broadcast

Coordinators message a whole group about a meeting-point change or weather delay, with read tracking.

05

Traveller documents wallet

Passport copies, visas, vouchers and insurance papers are kept in one encrypted place in the app.

06

Post-trip memories and reviews

Travellers upload photos to a shared album and rate the trip, giving the operator material for the next season.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Seasonal road closures

Mountain routes change overnight. The itinerary must be editable by staff in the field, and notifications must reach travellers who are partly offline.

Storing passports and IDs

Travel documents are highly sensitive. We encrypt them, limit staff access by role and avoid keeping copies after the trip window ends.

Multi-currency pricing

Overseas customers pay in dollars or pounds while local ones pay in rupees. We store prices per currency instead of converting on the fly, so receipts never drift.

Travel App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can travellers use the app without internet in the mountains?

Yes for what they have already downloaded: itinerary, contacts, documents and offline maps. Anything live, like a coordinator broadcast, arrives when the phone next finds coverage, and we show its timestamp.

Can we sell flights and hotels too?

Packages of your own can be sold directly. Selling live flights or third-party hotel inventory means integrating a supplier or aggregator API, which is possible but depends on the supplier contract you hold.

Does the app handle group bookings and shared payments?

Yes. A group leader can reserve several seats, add traveller details for each person and either pay together or invite members to pay their own share against the same booking.

How do agents manage everything?

Through a web console where staff create packages, view bookings, track instalments, manage rooming lists and send announcements. It is built for sales and coordination teams rather than developers.
