Kids Learning AppDevelopment

A playful learning app for young children, safe by design, with parents in control and no ads that follow the child around.

Kids Learning App Development: what the work involves

Children learn through repetition and play, and parents judge an app in seconds: is it safe, is it calm, does my child actually learn something. Many free kids' apps fail on all three, filled with ads, accidental purchases and outbound links. For schools and publishers, building something that is both engaging and compliant is harder than it appears.

We build kids' apps to the store rules for children from day one. Lessons are short activities with voice prompts, big touch targets and instant, friendly feedback, in Urdu, English or both. A parent area, protected by a simple gate, controls screen time, shows progress and manages purchases. No third-party advertising or behavioural analytics touches the child's side, and content is delivered so new lessons arrive without a store update.

What we build

Core features

01

Voice-led activities

Prompts are spoken so children who cannot read yet can play alone, with letters, numbers and shapes taught through touch.

02

Urdu and English content

Bilingual lessons with correct right-to-left layout and clear fonts for early Urdu reading.

03

Parent gate and controls

A parents-only area sits behind a gate that children cannot easily pass, holding settings, purchases and reports.

04

Progress and gentle rewards

Stars and stickers reward effort, while a parent report highlights skills practised and where a child struggles.

05

Offline play

Downloaded lesson packs run without internet, useful in cars or places without data.

06

Screen-time limits

Parents set daily limits and quiet hours, and the app winds down with a gentle stop rather than an abrupt lock.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Children's privacy rules

Apps aimed at children fall under strict rules on data collection and advertising in the stores and in laws like COPPA. We collect the minimum and avoid third-party trackers on the child side.

Accidental purchases and links

Children tap everything. Purchases and external links sit behind the parent gate, and the store's Kids or Family category requirements are checked before submission.

Content quality over quantity

A handful of well-tested activities beat a hundred shallow ones. We pilot with real children and revise before expanding the library.

Kids Learning App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Is the app safe for children under 13?

We design for it: no behavioural advertising, no open chat, minimal data and a parent gate on purchases and links. You should still have your privacy policy reviewed against the laws that apply in your markets.

Can it include games as well as lessons?

Yes. Simple educational games can be built within the app, or in Unity for richer animation. The choice depends on how interactive the activities need to be and the lowest-end phone you want to support.

How do parents see their child's progress?

Through the parent area, which shows which skills were practised, time spent and areas that need attention. Reports are kept simple, since most parents want a glance rather than a dashboard.

Can we add new lessons without a store update?

Yes. Lesson packs are downloaded from a content service, so you add new activities by publishing content. Only changes to the app's own code require a release through the stores.
