Salon Booking AppDevelopment
Clients book a stylist and a time in a few taps, and your chairs stay full because reminders and deposits cut the empty slots.
Salon Booking App Development: what the work involves
A busy salon runs its day through one phone and one receptionist's notebook. Clients cannot see free times, double bookings happen when two staff take calls at once, and a no-show leaves a stylist idle for an hour. Regular customers drift away because nobody remembers to invite them back after six weeks.
We build a booking app with each stylist's calendar at its heart. Services have durations and prices, a booking picks a stylist or any available one, and the app calculates which slots genuinely fit. A small deposit can secure peak slots, reminders reduce no-shows, and a rebooking prompt arrives when a client is due. Staff use a day view on a tablet, and owners see revenue by service and stylist.
Core features
Stylist calendars and service durations
Each service has a time length, and the booking engine finds slots where the chosen stylist is free for the whole appointment.
Multi-service bookings
Haircut, colour and styling can be combined in sequence, with the system chaining the time across staff or rooms.
Deposits and cancellation rules
Deposits for long or peak appointments, with refundable windows shown before the client confirms.
Reminders and rebooking prompts
A confirmation, a day-before reminder and a nudge to rebook after the usual interval for that service.
Portfolio and stylist profiles
Before-and-after photos and stylist bios help clients choose, which is how many salons win new customers.
Loyalty and packages
Points, prepaid packages and bridal-package payments tracked against each client's profile.
What we get right before launch
Walk-ins and phone bookings
Salons still take walk-ins. The calendar blends all channels in real time so an online slot is never sold twice, and staff can block time for walk-in capacity.
Client photo privacy
Before-and-after photos are valuable but private, especially in women-only salons. Photos are stored only with consent, and clients choose whether they may appear in a public portfolio.
Staff turnover
Clients follow stylists. The app keeps client history with the salon, not the stylist's phone, so a departing employee does not take your customer list with them.

Common questions, answered
Can clients choose a specific stylist?
Yes, or select any available one for faster slots. Each stylist's calendar, working hours and services are managed separately, and clients can favourite a stylist to rebook quickly.
Do you support women-only salons with extra privacy needs?
Yes. Client photos and details can be restricted, public portfolios require consent, and customer notifications can use discreet wording. We discuss these settings with you as part of design.
How do deposits work?
You choose which services need a deposit, how much and when it is refundable. Payment can go through a wallet or card gateway, and the deposit is deducted from the final bill at checkout.
Can it run several branches?
Yes. Branches share a client database and loyalty system but keep their own stylists, hours and pricing, and a client can book at whichever branch is nearest to them.
