Event Ticketing AppDevelopment
Sell tickets, issue QR passes and scan people in at the gate quickly, with controls that stop the same ticket entering twice.
Event Ticketing App Development: what the work involves
A ticket is a promise that must hold up at a crowded gate. Counterfeit paper passes, WhatsApp screenshots forwarded to ten friends and queues at a single table are the usual experience at Pakistani concerts and conferences. Organisers learn who attended only after the event, and refunds for cancellations are handled by hand.
We build the app around inventory, passes and the gate. Organisers define ticket types and capacity; buyers choose seats or tiers and pay, and receive a signed QR that rotates so screenshots are useless. Gate staff scan with phones, even offline, and a second scan of the same code is rejected. Organisers watch sales live, manage guest lists and settle after the event.
Core features
Ticket tiers and seat maps
General, VIP and table tickets with limits per buyer, and a seat map for venues with assigned seating.
Rotating QR passes
Each ticket displays a code that refreshes, so a screenshot cannot be passed around to a crowd.
Offline gate scanning
Door staff scan on phones against a downloaded list, and duplicates are caught even if the venue has no signal.
Queue-safe checkout
Waiting-room logic holds buyers fairly during a high-demand release, with a timed hold on selected tickets.
Organiser live dashboard
Sales by tier, revenue, scan counts and entry rate throughout the event, with exportable settlement reports.
Refunds and transfers
Cancelled events trigger bulk refunds, and approved transfers reissue the ticket to a named recipient.
What we get right before launch
Flash-sale load
Popular events sell out in minutes and traffic is brutal. We load-test checkout, use queues for fairness and make sure stock updates cannot oversell.
Resale and touting
Unregulated resale invites inflated prices and fraud. Transfers can be limited to named users, with a face-value resale option, depending on your policy.
Gate-device reliability
Dead batteries and bad signal stop an entry line. We provide a fallback list scan, spare-device guidance and a manual override with an audit log.

Common questions, answered
How do you stop duplicate or fake tickets?
Every ticket has a unique signed code checked against the server list, and used codes are rejected. Rotating codes defeat screenshots, though a determined fraudster could still hand over a real phone.
Does scanning work without signal at the venue?
Yes. Gate devices download the valid ticket list beforehand and sync scans between them when possible. Without any link between devices, duplicate detection is limited to each phone until they next connect.
Can we sell through an agent network as well?
Yes. Agents get their own sales dashboards, allocations and commission statements, and their sales draw from the same inventory so a ticket is never sold twice.
How do organisers get paid?
Settlement reports show gross sales, fees and refunds, and payouts follow your agreement, often after the event. Holding funds until entry reduces refund exposure if an event is cancelled.
