Helpdesk Ticketing SoftwareDevelopment

Gather customer requests from every channel into one queue, with owners, deadlines and a history nobody has to dig for.

Helpdesk Ticketing Software Development: what the work involves

Support requests arrive from everywhere: email, WhatsApp, phone calls, a web form, a message to a salesperson. Without a shared queue, two agents answer the same customer while another is ignored, nobody knows who owns what, and the manager hears about a problem only when the customer complains elsewhere. A helpdesk gives each request a number, an owner and a clock.

DevKey builds helpdesk software shaped to your support process. Inbound email and WhatsApp messages are converted into tickets, assigned by rules such as product, language or customer tier, and tracked against response and resolution targets. Agents get saved replies, internal notes and the customer's history in one view. Managers see backlog, ageing and workload, and customers get a portal to follow their requests.

What we build

Core features

01

Multi-channel intake

Email, web form, WhatsApp and manual entry from calls all create tickets in one queue, linked to the right customer.

02

Rule-based assignment

Route tickets by category, customer tier, language or workload, and reassign easily when someone is away.

03

SLA timers and escalation

First-response and resolution targets run per priority, with warnings and escalation to a supervisor before a deadline is missed.

04

Agent workspace

Conversation, customer history, internal notes, saved replies and linked orders appear on one screen, so agents answer faster.

05

Customer portal and updates

Customers follow their tickets, add information and receive status messages without needing to chase.

06

Support reports

Volume by category, response and resolution times, backlog ageing and agent workload show where the team needs attention.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

WhatsApp rules

Business messaging has policies on templates and the reply window. We build on the official business API, and confirm provider terms before promising particular automations.

Duplicates and threading

A single issue can generate five emails. We thread replies to the right ticket and offer merge tools, so history does not fragment across duplicates.

Linking to business data

Agents answer better when they see orders or accounts beside the ticket. We integrate with your system where it has an interface, and otherwise link by reference number.

Helpdesk Ticketing Software Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Why build instead of using an existing helpdesk product?

Existing products suit many teams well. Custom makes sense when you need tight links to your own orders or accounts, unusual routing, or per-agent licensing costs have become unreasonable for a large support group.

Can customers email or WhatsApp us and get a ticket?

Yes. Messages to a support address or a business WhatsApp number create or update tickets, and agent replies go back through the same channel, keeping the conversation threaded in one place.

Can we set response time targets?

Yes. Targets are set per priority or customer tier, timers pause for statuses like waiting on customer, and breaches are flagged and escalated automatically according to rules you define.

Does it have a knowledge base?

It can. Articles written from resolved tickets can be suggested to agents and shown to customers before they submit a request, which reduces repeat questions and speeds up replies.
