Salon Management SoftwareDevelopment

Book stylists without clashes, bill services and products together, track client history and pay staff commission from the same record.

Salon Management Software Development: what the work involves

A salon is a time-and-people business. Each stylist's hour is the product, a no-show is a lost sale, and a client who returns expects the stylist to remember her colour formula. Diaries and phone chats lead to double-bookings, services performed but not billed, and commissions argued at month-end because nobody agrees who did what. Retail products on the shelf sell quietly with no stock record.

We build salon systems around the appointment, the service ticket and the client profile. The calendar shows each stylist's availability and room or chair use; services have durations and prices; and a ticket combines services, retail products and discounts into one bill. Client cards store preferences, formulas, photos and visit history. Prepaid packages and memberships are tracked as balances, commissions follow rules per stylist and service, and reminders reduce no-shows.

What we build

Core features

01

Appointment calendar

Stylist and chair views, service durations, buffers, walk-in queueing and reminders that cut no-shows.

02

Service catalogue and tickets

Services, add-ons and products on one ticket, with discounts within staff limits and tips recorded separately.

03

Client profiles and history

Preferences, allergies, colour formulas, before-and-after photos and past services visible at the front desk and chair.

04

Packages and memberships

Prepaid bundles and loyalty balances are sold, counted down per use, and shown on the ticket at redemption.

05

Staff commission and attendance

Commission by service or product and by stylist grade, plus attendance and shifts, feeding monthly pay statements.

06

Retail stock and reports

Product stock with reorder alerts, daily sales by service and stylist, repeat-client rate and revenue per chair-hour.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Walk-ins and bookings together

Salons are rarely appointment-only. The calendar must absorb walk-ins gracefully, showing wait times and slotting them without breaking booked clients' times.

Commission transparency

Stylists trust commission only when they can see how it was computed. Each service on a ticket records who performed it, and staff view their own earnings daily.

Client privacy and photos

Client photos and notes are personal. We store images with consent flags, limit who can view them, and avoid sharing client data between branches without a reason.

Salon Management Software Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can clients book online?

Yes. A booking page shows services and available stylists, and the client picks a slot with confirmation and a reminder. Online and desk bookings share one calendar, so a slot taken in either place disappears from both.

How is staff commission calculated?

Rules can be a percentage of service value, a fixed amount per service, or tiers by monthly sales, differing by stylist grade. Each ticket records who performed each line, so the monthly statement is generated from actual work.

Does it handle prepaid packages?

Yes. A package is sold with a number of sessions or a value balance, redeemed on future tickets, and reported as an outstanding liability. Expiry rules and transfers between family members can be configured if you allow them.

Can it run on a counter PC without internet?

An offline-first desktop version can keep appointments and billing running on the counter computer and sync later. Online booking naturally needs connectivity, but desk operations do not depend on it.
