Tutor Booking AppDevelopment

A tutoring app where parents find a verified teacher, try a first lesson and pay only for sessions that actually took place.

Tutor Booking App Development: what the work involves

Finding a good tutor still happens through neighbours and school gates. Parents cannot judge quality before paying, tutors lose weeks chasing fees, and either side can vanish after a missed session. Tuition academies that want to scale beyond one building find that scheduling, attendance and payments become full-time jobs.

We build a two-sided app. Tutors create profiles with subjects, qualifications and a verification step; parents search by subject, grade and area, and book a trial. Sessions run at the student's home or online in a built-in video room with a whiteboard. Attendance is confirmed by both sides, payment is held and released after the lesson, and ratings feed the ranking, so quality rises to the top.

What we build

Core features

01

Verified tutor profiles

Qualification documents and ID are reviewed before a tutor appears, with subjects, grade levels, languages and service area on the profile.

02

Search and trial booking

Parents filter by subject, board, budget and mode, and book a short trial lesson before committing to a package.

03

Calendar and recurring sessions

Weekly slots repeat automatically, reschedules need agreement from both sides, and time zones suit overseas students.

04

Online classroom

A video room with a shared whiteboard and file sharing, so a tutor in Lahore can teach a student in Dubai without extra tools.

05

Attendance and session notes

Both sides confirm each lesson, and tutors leave a short note on what was covered and what to practise.

06

Held payment and payouts

Fees are collected in advance, released after confirmed sessions and paid to tutors on a regular schedule.

Planned for

What we get right before launch

Child safety and vetting

Letting strangers into homes or video rooms with minors demands care. We add ID checks, parent-visible sessions, reporting tools and an option to record online lessons with consent.

Off-platform deals

Once a tutor and a family are matched, they may move to cash and skip the app. Package pricing, session-based ratings and convenience features reduce leakage, though it cannot be eliminated.

Online call quality

Home internet varies widely. The video layer must degrade gracefully to audio and a chat whiteboard when bandwidth is poor, otherwise lessons fail.

Tutor Booking App Development FAQ

Common questions, answered

Can tutors teach at home and online?

Yes. Each tutor lists the modes they offer, and the booking flow adapts: home sessions capture an address and travel radius, while online sessions generate a classroom link at the scheduled time.

How do you check that tutors are genuine?

Through document review, ID matching and optional reference checks done by your team in the admin console. No automated check is perfect, so ratings and reporting remain essential after launch.

How do tutors get paid?

After a lesson is confirmed, their share is added to a ledger and paid out by bank or wallet on a schedule you set. The platform commission is calculated automatically and shown on each statement.

Can an academy use it for its own teachers?

Yes. In academy mode, you assign teachers to classes, track attendance and fees, and show parents a timetable, instead of letting families choose from an open marketplace.
