Software for Islamabad's Universities and Training Institutes
Islamabad's universities and training institutes run admissions, timetables, fees and results across many programmes at once. DevKey builds the systems that keep that machinery in step.
The trade, and what it needs from software
The capital hosts public and private universities, specialist colleges and a busy circuit of professional training institutes, from IT bootcamps to language and exam-preparation centres. Students come from every province and many arrive for a single intake, so admissions season places sharp pressure on a small administrative team.
DevKey Technologies, an AI-first software house in Islamabad, builds education systems for institutions across Pakistan remotely. We focus on the unglamorous core: applications, enrolment, fee follow-up, attendance and results, plus the portals students and parents expect to open on a phone. The aim is fewer spreadsheets and fewer queues at the accounts window.
How the work flows in Islamabad
Intake cycles and programme-based admissions
Applications arrive in waves tied to semester or batch starts. Staff verify documents, rank applicants against programme criteria and issue offers, often through a mix of forms, emails and counters.
Timetables, faculty and room allocation
Visiting faculty, shared labs and evening batches make scheduling a puzzle. A clash between a teacher, a room and a cohort is usually found only when students turn up.
Fee instalments, scholarships and results
Fees follow different plans by programme, with scholarships and late-payment rules layered on. Results then flow back to transcripts and certificates that must be issued accurately.
Where things go wrong today
Admission paperwork piling up
Applicants send documents in different formats and the office re-keys them. Missing papers are chased by phone while good candidates drift to other institutions.
Fee arrears nobody can see clearly
Instalment due dates, waivers and part payments live in separate sheets. Finance cannot quickly say who owes what, which delays enforcement and clearance.
Training batches with no learner follow-up
Short courses lose track of attendance, assignments and completion once a batch begins. Certificates then depend on someone's memory.
Students with no single place to look
Notices, timetables and grades are scattered across messaging groups and notice boards. Learners miss deadlines they never saw.
Software that fixes it
University management software for the whole student life cycle
Applications, enrolment, course registration, attendance and results held together, with each department seeing its own view of the same student record.
College Management Software DevelopmentA learning platform for institutes and short courses
Course content, assignments, quizzes and progress tracking for training batches, usable on a phone and manageable by non-technical instructors.
Learning Management System DevelopmentOnline examinations that mark themselves
Question banks, timed papers and automatic grading for objective tests, with results flowing into the main student record.
Online Examination Software DevelopmentA university website built to convert enquiries
Programme pages, application entry points and clear fee and deadline information that help prospective students decide and apply without phoning the office.
University Website DevelopmentCommon questions, answered
Can one system handle both degree programmes and short courses?
Yes. We model programmes, batches and course types separately, so a semester degree and a weekend certificate can share one student database while keeping different fee plans, timetables and result rules.
Will it replace our existing result and fee spreadsheets?
That is the usual goal. We import your current records, run the old and new side by side briefly, then retire the spreadsheets once finance and the examination office trust the numbers in the new system.
Can students use it on their phones?
Yes. Student and parent portals are designed for phone screens first, showing timetables, fee status, notices and grades. Staff dashboards stay desktop-friendly for the admissions and accounts teams.
Do you need to visit our campus?
No. We work remotely from Islamabad, using calls, shared screens and recorded walkthroughs to understand your processes. Training for registrars and instructors is also delivered online, with documentation your staff can revisit.
